An Ambitious, Well-Grounded Beginning

When Terry Moore, in September 2008, received a telephone call from Leo Thibodeau to offer him the opportunity to bring the Ontario-based Office Move Pro to Calgary, his interest was immediately piqued. Thibodeau had previously been a partner of Moore's in AMJ Campbell Van Lines, and had founded Office Move Pro in Ontario. This, to Moore, was an excellent business opportunity proposed by a trusted and highly experienced friend: a former colleague grounded in the moving industry.

Moore wasted no time, therefore, in testing the office moving market in Calgary. After making calls to experts in the industry and to past clients representing large corporations, Moore determined that there was a need for improvement in the office moving industry in Calgary.

At a meeting in October 2008, Thibodeau put forward his vision of having Office Move Pro represented coast-to-coast in Canada as the only specialized office moving company within three years.

It was an exciting prospect, and after an agreement between them was struck, the challenge for Moore became a reality, and he began to bring shape to it by assembling a team of experts in the industry.

In addition to Leo Thibodeau, holding the position of Founder, and Moore, himself, as President, the first to come on board without hesitation was Lyn (Leal) Archdekin who had 20 years of experience in office moving. She had previously worked for Moore at AMJ Campbell Van Lines.

Next to accept the challenges of a new beginning were Tim Moore, founder of AMJ Campbell Van Lines and several other successful companies, and Ted Moore with over 20 years of moving experience.

It was an exciting start, with a management team of five people and over 100 years of collective experience in the moving industry.

The next step was to hire VP/Manager Dale Kernick, who enthusiastically accepted the opportunity to manage and direct the company.

By early 2009, after locating premises on 17th Avenue SE in Calgary, securing equipment and developing marketing plans, the Calgary branch of Office Move Pro was open for business.

Today, Office Move Pro has an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau and enjoys a 98 percent customer satisfaction rating with its clients. It has attracted the best drivers, supervisors, and movers in the industry: a powerfully energetic and dynamic team that is committed to providing the best service to its clients.
